Dallas Symphony Orchestra
The Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO) is a professional symphony orchestra based in Dallas, Texas, founded in 1900 and led by Music Director Fabio Luisi (in post since 2020). The orchestra’s primary home is the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas’s Arts District, which opened in 1989 and includes the Eugene McDermott Concert Hall. In addition to its regular Dallas season, the DSO maintains a national touring profile, including an East Coast tour in March 2023 with performances at Symphony Hall in Boston, Carnegie Hall in New York, and Yale University’s Woolsey Hall. Internationally, the orchestra returned to Europe with a two-week, ten-city tour in June 2024, its first international tour since 2013. With a long institutional history and ongoing touring activity, the DSO remains an established presenter of large-scale orchestral concerts in both regional and major U.S. venues.
